The Kiwanis Club of Ottawa

The Kiwanis Club of Ottawa Holiday Hamper Program has been making a meaningful difference in the community since its re-establishment in 2007, growing from serving 50 families to supporting 400 families and 1,239 individuals in 2025 with Costco gift cards and turkeys. Through its six-year partnership with the Caring and Sharing Exchange Christmas Exchange Program, the Club helps ensure holiday assistance reaches those most in need. Its commitment to fighting food insecurity extends year-round through a three-year partnership with Nutrition Blocs, helping raise more than $250,000 and enabling the delivery of over 60,000 nutritious meals to children in transitional housing and priority neighbourhoods. Supported by 93 volunteer drivers and numerous community partners, the Kiwanis Club continues to strengthen Ottawa through collaboration, volunteerism, and compassionate service.
