Ottawa Guild of Potters

For more than 20 years, the Ottawa Guild of Potters has demonstrated exceptional community leadership and generosity through Great Bowls of Fire, an annual fundraising event supporting the Ottawa Food Bank. Since 2005, the Guild has united hundreds of volunteer ceramic artists, local restaurants, bakeries, and community members in a shared effort to address food insecurity in Ottawa. Together, they have raised more than $267,500 while fostering awareness, collaboration, and civic engagement.
Beyond its financial impact, the Guild has created a beloved community tradition that inspires giving through creativity and volunteerism. By continually adapting the event to increase accessibility and participation, the Ottawa Guild of Potters has proven themselves as true leaders of community engagement both in the Glebe, and across Ottawa.
