Matt Jacques

To volunteer is to step forward—and Matt Jacques inspires others to step forward with him. His volunteer journey with The Ottawa Cancer Foundation began in the Fight for the Cure boxing ring and grew into lasting service as a recruiter, founding emcee of Laugh for the Cure and Chair of the Foundation’s Leadership Council. Matt rallies community ambassadors to activate their networks and support revenue growth alongside the fundraising team. His contagious volunteer spirit extends across Ottawa: he co-emcees the Special Olympics Festival Breakfast, supports its live auction and volunteers as an organizer, emcee and auctioneer for the Ashbury Golf Classic. Matt does more than give his time. He helps others discover their own ability to contribute, transforming one volunteer’s commitment into a growing community of fundraisers, ambassadors and champions.
