Langar for Hunger

Langar for Hunger has helped redefine community philanthropy by making giving accessible through volunteerism, direct service, and tangible acts of compassion. Operated entirely by volunteers, the organization mobilizes thousands of community members each year to provide meals, hygiene products, winter essentials, emergency response support, and mental health education. Their longstanding partnership with YSB has directly benefited youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability through ongoing support of our shelters and supportive housing programs, including the annual SoxBox campaign and hygiene product drives. Recognized by the City of Ottawa through the declaration of December as Seva Month, Langar for Hunger continues to inspire communities through one simple belief: Everyone can give. Everyone can serve. Everyone can make a difference.
