Arlette Dufour, Sylvie Pilon-Tilden, Louise Labrosse

Louise, Arlette and Sylvie — a cousin and two sisters — represent six decades of quiet generosity to Counselling and Family Service Ottawa, a bilingual organization with French Language designated programming, agency founded in 1940. Arlette’s tie began in her first job in the 1960s; she later contributed to renovations tied to the agency’s building purchase and ensured a dedication honouring former Executive Director Franca Di Diomete was made while Franca could witness it. Louise has led CFS Ottawa’s French-language services committee and is initiating its first securities donation. Sylvie, a former Board member and regular donor, has worked with Arlette to rebuild the Board after a period of instability. Together, this family has shaped the agency’s space, governance and language access for the community it still serves today.
